Hello Friend,
I'm excited to announce that I have started a business called The Woke Coach LLC—an independent consultancy aimed at engaging with clients, large and small, to facilitate conversations and complete projects that live at the intersection of equity, diversity, inclusion, education and empowerment.
After years at working in both the for-profit and non-profit worlds, I have taken a giant step into the unknown to chart the course of my own destiny. It sounds pretty scary, but, honestly, I couldn’t be more excited!
When I look back over the course of my career, I always knew that I was supposed to be an entrepreneur. I have always drawn a bit outside of the lines--and deeply enjoyed it. I love projects. I love fixing broken things. I love using my brain to come up with solutions that others haven’t thought of or are unable to enact simply because of limited time and resources.
More importantly, I absolutely LOVE people. I’m a connector at heart and I enjoy helping people solve problems that exist simply because they don’t know, or have access to, the right person or solutions... or they don't even know that there is a problem.
I believe that equity is the defining issue of our time. Because of that, it's my goal to engage with clients, large and small, to complete projects in that arena as it most excites me. I also believe that everyone is a work in progress and that progress is possible for all of us. We just have to be willing to do the work.
I have a background in communications, marketing, fundraising, research and facilitation. I am a Connector. Influencer. Change Maker. Dynamic Communications Professional. Equity Diversity Inclusion Champion. A Feminist. I am The Woke Coach.
